One of the best meals of the entire year! LOVED my Walleye and the duck confite was perfect. Our waitress was this wonderful, mature woman. I really like competent adult waitstaff and she was exemplary. Very cozy. pleasant dining room. BYOB.
There are 2 different ratings : Hotel: rooms spotless, however greetings need work. Checking in before me, a Franco couple, he gave all kinds of info including wifi, I spoke French with my Anglo accent and received the key with a typical sneer and pointed in the direction of my room.. I've experienced this so often in magog in the past. What is their problem? 3 times not impressed. Then redemption! Our waitress was amazing! We spoke our Anglo French, she was wonderful! Didn't switch to English, maybe she couldn't speak English, but no sneering or rolling eyes at our French, politely spoke French to us slowly, clearly and beautifully and we were so able to understand and not feel crapped on! Super experience, never happens much in in Quebec. BTW food outstanding, so delicious and presentation lovely! Highly recommend Comme chez soi!
We stopped for the night after the hike to Mont Orford. The room is really clean and the bed was comfortable. Amazing restaurant on the premises, bring your own wine.

We made the trip from New Hampshire (US) and stopped at the end of the day. Food was good and our server (Antoine?) was great!
We went to the restaurant only as a group of 9 for a marriage and the food was delicious. The price of the meals are, of course, high because of the quality of it all, but it was a good one-time experience. I was there with my 1 year old who got to try out many new foods and it was a good experience. The server was super helpful and even brought a bit of ice cream for my baby when she saw he was getting a bit fussy by the end of the evening (we were close to his bedtime).
A as always, my favourite restaurant to go to !! Michel, Suzanne and the gang are awesome. Always accommodating with great decor, very clean place, staff are friendly, knowledgeable & always welcoming in both French & English. Food choices are always consistent and well presented.
